Co-hosting Animal Welfare Seminar

On February 25, 2019, along with Representative Jeong-mi Lee, a member of the National Assembly and the leader of the Justice Party, as well as the Sun Pro Bono Center, People for Earth held a seminar on animal welfare at the National Assembly. The seminar was held to examine current animal-related policies and their implementation, and to provide a platform for the discussion of future animal welfare legislation and the creation of a “sustainable animal welfare society.” Included in the seminar was a comprehensive overview of the welfare of all animal groups including companion animals, livestock, wild animals, and lab animals, as well as a discussion of the groundwork necessary for more comprehensive animal legislation.
