People for Earth's Youth Education program is designed to empower young people to explore and develop solutions to the climate and ecological crisis. Through Earth Jurisprudence and worldview education, we nurture ecological sensitivity and foster active citizenship for a sustainable future.
Participants engage in seminars and lectures on Earth Law, delving into ecological interconnectedness, rights of nature, and environmental justice. They also participate in essay writing, conference presentations, performances, and book publications, fostering creative problem-solving skills.
On July 6, a 'Movie Night' event was held in collaboration with Hiking Heroes, a youth environmental action group. The event featured a special lecture by Mr. Jaemin Lim, Secretary General of the Energy Transition Forum Korea, on the topic "Stories of Youth Responding to the Climate Crisis," aimed at inspiring the next generation of Hiking Heroes. Following the lecture, we watched TO THE END, a film about the hopes of American youth advocating for climate politics. This event provided an opportunity to share practical responses to climate change with future generations and aimed to inspire new perspectives and solutions.
